Course Description

"Surprise! We hired a nanny last year!" Never a fun thing to hear from your client in January. With COVID-19 impacting schools, daycares, and senior care facilities, this might be your busiest year ever for "nanny taxes." But are you and your clients aware that legislation like FFCRA, the CARES Act, and the American Rescue Plan Act might actually save your clients money if they put their household employees on the books?

Join the nanny tax experts from HomeWork Solutions to learn why you should be talking to your clients right now about this issue and how HomeWork Solutions can help you and your clients make payroll and taxes simple.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define employee/contractor classification and employer obligations

  • Identify household employment laws and taxes, plus look ahead to what's changing in 2022

  • Recall how FFCRA, the CARES Act, The American Rescue Plan Act, and other financial relief bills impact household employers. (Hint: there may be a tax credit for your client)

  • Recognize how a payroll partner streamlines your practice and ensures compliance for your clients
